There was a panel member from IIT Delhi who was asking only material science.

He asked.

9. How do you carry out processes like cyaniding , carburizing exactly in laboratory.Then some situation reaction questions involving technical know-how.

10. Like you are a maintenance engineer and you cannot allow.the mill to stop even for a minute., So how would you identify that there should be no breakdown.

Basically there was checking whether candidate has idea of vibration in bearings and crack propogation.
